I'm just curious, but if your from the United states how did you end up in Okinawa? Are you living there now? Do you like Japan???

I'm curious because I would love to vacation there after I finish out school XD

We're also hoping to visit China and Bali this year for my husband's birthday....and maybe West Sumatra for mine (depending on finances...China/Bali are cheap, West Sumatra not so much)

My husband's job took us here :) We've been living here for 2 years, and we leave at the end of the year. We love it here...Okinawa is a small island, fairly traditional and not very modern. It's gorgeous! The food is amazing too...definitely check out the curry restaurants and ramen shops, as well as teppanyaki.

Wow! That's amazing. If you don't mind me asking what does your husband do that put you in Okinawa??? (if you don't wanna say that's totally fine to :D)

China would be amazing to. I'm a huge fan of traditional oriental buildings (like pagoda's, castles, the small asian homes, etc.) I would love to see those.

He's in the USAF. :) I love the old Asian architecture too! It's fantastic because there's a lot of Ryuku castles here, as well as the old style houses. Most of the buildings here are basically cement blocks though, due to all of the typhoons that come our way.
